Compulsory levels
Compulsory means that everyone performs to the same music and the same sequence of elements. This makes it very important to show personality within the limitations of a compulsory routine, like smiling, amplitude, the little head tilts will catch the attention of the judges and therefore rewarded.
Level 1 to 3 and level A and B are the compulsory levels. Level A is for wheelchair athletes and Level B is intended for athletes with low mobility and therefore the routines are mostly in a standing position. Level 1 to 3 are intended to be progressions where 1 is the beginning level and 3 is the most complex compulsory level. Beyond level 3 is level 4 which is "optional" routine where the music and choreography is chosen by coach and gymnast.

Toolsets available and how to use them?
- Hint cards
- This uses flip-card concepts to help with learning. You can easily click and flip to the next element or repeat certain section of the routine. You will notice that there are keywords versus storyline. Use whatever works best for yourself or your athlete.
Some athletes have trouble remembering the elements in sequence. To address such problems, do use keywords and get them to recite the keywords like a phone number. You can easily repeat the routine a few times while waiting for the bus or during breaks. If you keep giving them hints, they will rely on you all the time. Do encourage independent repetition even without apparatus. - Print easy
- This helps create a simple print so that you can carry your routine around.
- Judging slips
- It is impossible to make relevant changes without knowing how the routines are going to be judged. The actual judging slips are included here for completeness
- Downloads
- Using mp3 makes hopping back and forth really easy. Having a video file available on your smartphone really helps memorization.
